Gas Test Benches and Analytics

For sensor or catalyst characterization we are equipped with several gas test benches or even a Diesel engine for real exhaust measurements.

Synthetic gas flows can comprise the following components: N2, O2, CO2, H2O (up to 10 vol%), HCs, H2, CO, NOx, NH3, SO2, COOH, C6H6

Our sensors could either be tested in passively heated tube furnaces. When thick-film heaters are integrated in the sensor setup, we mount these elements directly into the gas flow.

The catalyst test bench offers the possibility for conversion measurement up to 700 °C with a flow of 40 l/min in a quartz tube reactor (Ageing, also hydrothermally, up to 1100 °C). Fast gas switching (lean / rich) is possible.

For gas analysis we work with the following equipment:

  • 2x FTIR (Thermo Nicolet / Antaris)
  • FID / NDIR / paramagn. Oxygen (Rosemount)
  • 2x CLD (ecophysics) 
  • div. Lambda-probesn
  • UV (Thethys EXM400)
  • UV-Vis (Cary 50 Bio)
